This is a pure, clear sauce that has been in the Batten family for decades. We simply extract the heat from peppers with vinegar, and add seasoning. This crystal clear liquid is our next-to-hottest sauce, just below Thermonuclear. It is also our purest sauce, containing only five all-natural ingredients: vinegar, peppers, onion juice, garlic, and salt.

Feel free to use this wherever you would use vinegar. George’s favorite use for this sauce is greens: spinach, kale, turnip greens, collard greens, etc. But it also goes well with fish (replace your malt vinegar with this sauce), and pork, where it is reminiscent of the eastern North Carolina bar-b-cue sauce that George enjoyed in the days of his youth.

Oh, don't forget to add this to salad in the place of your normal vinegar. It gives salads a nice little kick.
