The little historic town of Bostwick, Georgia offers an absolutely wonderful festival, which celebrates its cotton-growing history, which continues unto today. See a cotton gin in operation, witness a truly unbelievable parade of tractors (I have seen a 1910 steam-driven tractor in that parade), and enjoy the warmth and companionship of some of the greatest people on the face of the Earth. The vendors are all first class. It makes for a very pleasant fall Saturday afternoon. All proceeds from the Cotton Gin Festival go toward the up keep of the historic Susie Agnes Hotel, and other city improvements as needed.
